Highsnobiety Partners With Barneys New York On 30 Exclusive Collections

Highsnobiety is teaming up with Barneys New York on a two-day shopping event, ”thedrop@barneys,” featuring 30 exclusive capsule collections and product “drops” throughout the weekend of October 28 and 29. Brands include HS favorites like Gucci, OFF-WHITE, Amiri, Stampd, A-COLD-WALL*, Heron Preston, Aime Leon Dore and many, many more.

The event will be held at Barneys New York’s flagship store on Madison Avenue, and will include appearances from designers, unique in-store activations, and programs featuring some of today’s most relevant names in street culture and fashion. Even though you’ll be able to shop online at barneys.com, there will be a bunch of other exclusive surprises you’ll only find in-store. “Today’s fashion culture revolves around newness, exclusivity and experience,” adds Jeff Carvalho, Executive Editor at Highsnobiety. “We’re excited to partner with Barneys New York on thedrop@barneys to give fashion aficionados a fresh way to interact with the brands and designers they follow.”

There’ll be plenty to do across the weekend, as the event will take place on all 8 of Barneys New York’s floors, offering exclusive product for men, women, kids, as well as beauty and grooming. On October 28, nine collections will drop at various times throughout the day. Designers will also be on-site for the event, including Mike Amiri, Virgil Abloh, Heron Preston, Greg Lauren, Jerry Lorenzo of FEAR OF GOD, and Francesco Ragazzi of Palm Angels. Other exclusive products include Alpha Industries, AMBUSH, 424, Disco Tuesdays, FILA, RTA x MASTERMIND WORLD, Filling Pieces and New Balance.

On October 29, Highsnobiety and Barneys New York will be hosting panels featuring designers, industry insiders, and other creatives shaping modern youth culture. These will be livestreamed by Highsnobiety and Barneys New York via Facebook. There will also be other activations happening, like custom chain-stitched embroidery on Converse sneakers, tattoos from Jonboy, who’s inked the likes of Kendall Jenner and Justin Bieber and piercings from renowned piercer J. Colby Smith.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can hit-up a lounge space curated by Jerry Lorenzo, an immersive experience from FILA, and a T-shirt bar with 25 exclusive graphic tees from brands like Disco Tuesdays, Unfortunate Portrait, and Strangers. Heron Preston and Virgil Abloh will also be doing a DJ set. Attendees can pre-register to attend the event at barneys.com/thedrop.
